Vet2011 National Committee

For coordination, the corresponding members in a given country may form a Vet 2011 National Committee in order to :

  • motivate all their national veterinary institutions to create events to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the profession, thereby promoting its image within their country (events, newspaper articles, series of radio or TV programmes, institutional advertising campaigns, media events at exhibitions or shows, ...);
  • help collect external funding so as to ensure that accredited events are of the highest quality ;
  • organise or supervise the organisation of events in collaboration with other institutions ;
  • coordinate the initiatives of all the national partners involved and promote media coverage of all the events being organised in the country in connection with World Veterinary Year ;
  • set up a procedure to enable these events to obtain a "Vet 2011" accreditation ;
  • keep a register of all the events that have obtained this accreditation, and send the list to the French Committee which will then place it on the Vet 2011 website to publicise the success of World Veterinary Year.
